A joyful Devon choir with many members who are NHS doctors and nurses is raising thousands of pounds with an uplifting rendition of ‘Higher and Higher’ which has been seen around the world.
The Exeter-based Soul of the City Gospel Choir has members all over Devon – including five doctors, many nurses and other family members involved in treating coronavirus on the frontline. They got together remotely to make the amazing recording and raise funds for Personal Protective Equipment at the same time through?NHS Hero Support.
It had 15,000 views within half an hour of being released and fundraisers saw a ?2,000 spike in donations to the National charity to buy more PPE during the same 30 minutes.
